The Internet Failed Me.

Had our family meeting yesterday. It was so-so. Got some inkling of what to expect in the future, who was interested in moving forward, and what progress we were liable to make, moving forward.

Now the internet was mostly to blame , if not the main culprit. It foiled our plans, for a worldwide family meeting on Zoom.

But then we have to take into consideration the lack of planning for that failure. I was sadly lacking in foreknowledge.

I had set up a Zoom session, but due to poor internet coverage in that area, it was a fail. To be honest, I did not foresee that. As we needed the numbers for voting, it was a bust with no Zoom room. Alas, I lament the total day wasted..

It is my village, but I don’t live there, so I didn’t know about the internet coverage of that area, not being too good.

I do blame myself for not finding that out beforehand. I was too excited about the meeting, I overlooked that one crucial detail. Now we have to reschedule the meeting at a different venue, start all over again. Costing money, time and energy expended, in the process.

They say hindsight is better than foresight, but naivety and ignorance can play a crucial role in things falling apart.

I adhere to the adage though, that ‘once bitten, twice shy’, sharpens my senses and cements my resolve.

I have learnt from my mistake. I will lick my wounds, but move forward from here, better, stronger, more committed to the cause. To my family.

Be safe. Be committed.

Uniquely made by a loving creator, be the best You, authentic, charming and charitable…

Love always,

I have started this my first website. Always been my dream to build one. I love being online. To me it's a whole new world, but I love the real world too and my favourite interest is walking. Reading, meeting people and going to movies and restaurants are some of my hobbies. I have kids who love animes so I got caught up in that too 😄 I love going to the beach on any given day rain or shine, but rainy days are the best for me. Coming back home from one of these excursions and then listening to the pitter patter of the rain on the roof or the drumming sound it makes is my lullaby and the sound of the surf pounding on the reef is another. Writing my first book and it’s an amazing thing finding out how capable you are of building a story up and then that story taking over in the telling. The things I’ve learnt about myself while writing this is just phenomenal. I love what I’m doing and doing what I love.
